Description of Organic Chocolate: The organic cacao used to produce this chocolate is grown in the Bundibugyo District of Uganda which is at the foot of the Rwenzori Mountains in Western Uganda, bordering the Democratic Republic of Congo. The region consists of an estimated 11 000 hectares of cocoa plantations with roughly 1 family farm per hectare. The district is a major cocoa producing area with 85 percent of the farmers engaged in the activity.
